About Village Pet Outfitters

The idea for this store first took shape more than twenty years ago. At the time, the plan was to open a brick-and-mortar store, complete with a comfortable reading area where customers could relax and browse our reference book section while enjoying a cup of coffee. However, life intervened, as it has a pesky way of doing.  Time went by, the shop wasn’t opened, the kids grew up. So did the internet. The result is that the concept now reappears, in slightly altered form – this time as an online shop.

As we indicated on the home page, the shop is dedicated to the well-being of companion dogs, cats and birds.  Our household contains all three, and we know we’re not alone in that regard. We also know we’re not the only ones who have so often found it necessary to go from place to place to get the things needed to care for them properly – one place for a particular food, one for a certain type of supplement or remedy, one for a required reference book. Making that process easier is the reason we decided to open our shop.

Our intention is to be an important resource for the human guardian, a place to gather the information and acquire the products necessary to insure that animal companions have a happy, healthy life.
