Critter Oil® is a proprietary blend of 15 pure, essential botanical oils that makes it easy - and safe - for you to control fleas and other pests on your animals and in your home environment without having to resort to toxic chemicals. Each of the oils has properties which serve an individual purpose. Some of them are naturally anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, helping soothe and heal skin irritation; some have repellant properties; some are heavy duty degreasers, which deep clean the skin and coat and break down the waxy exoskeleton of fleas and ticks; and some absorb into the coat, enhancing both texture and condition. Several of the oils in Critter Oil® are used in the practice of aromatherapy for relaxation and meditation, and its fresh, natural scent aids in calming pets during the grooming process.
First developed in 1987, Critter Oil has helped thousands of animals develop glowingly healthy skin and coats without having to use toxic dips, spot on the back pesticides, or medicated shampoos and conditioners. It can even be used to make a carpet spray or lawn spray! The product's creator owns and runs a grooming facility in St. Petersburg, FL, where they have specialized in totally natural skin and coat care, and treating and preventing flea problems on dogs and cats, for more than 20 years. Critter Oil® has worked successfully for them and their clients even with the significant flea challenges of south Florida.
With the help of a Ph.D. organic chemist, Critter Oil® was formulated with only oils classified as “GRAS” (Generally Recognized as Safe) for the human cosmetic industry, and at levels well below any individual harmful level for people or animals. For that reason, it is safe to use Critter Oil® as directed on baby animals as well as pregnant and nursing mothers. It even improves the health of indoor and outdoor plants!
Critter Oil® is used by adding just a bit of it to common household products. With Critter Oil's "do it yourself" instructions and some common household ingredients, you can make shampoo, spray, carpet powder, lawn spray, and more out of a single bottle. Safe to use around birds and exotics, you can even make a great cage cleaner with Critter Oil.

I am a big fan of essential oils and have used them on pets before. I like this product and would recommend it to those of you who want to avoid "dirty" products. The package arrived in a timely manner and the packaging was organic--wildflower seeds for your garden!
