Grain-free, gluten-free Love™ is the newest addition to The Honest Kitchen's® line of dog foods.  It’s complete and balanced, made with dehydrated hormone-free beef, vegetables, fruits and love. Like all of The Honest Kitchen's diets, Love is 100% human-grade, made in the USA, and does not contain corn, soy, rice, beet pulp or wheat. Just add water for a fresh, wholesome and human grade meal.

Suitable for: Dogs of all life stages (puppies, pregnancy, nursing, active adult) of all breeds and sizes. It’s ideal for puppies and active adult dogs, particularly those with food sensitivities to grains, gluten, eggs and those who need a low carbohydrate diet.

If you view the nutrient profile, you'll see some terms that could use a little explanation.  The ‘as-received’ profile pertains to the food as it comes out of the box – dehydrated, but still with a small amount of natural moisture present. This corresponds with the amount shown on the box.

‘Dry-matter’ (D.M.) basis means that the natural moisture in the dehydrated product has been completely factored out. Dry Matter Basis does not relate to how the food actually is, but calculates it into a format where it can more easily be compared with other diets, so that you can compare apples to apples.

The third profile, ‘as-fed,’ indicates the nutritional values of the food after rehydration, when the water has been added to reconstitute it before serving.  Note, as an example, that while the protein percentage will be reduced, because water has now been added, the actual grams of protein that your pet will eat are still the same.  They have simply been ‘diluted’ as a percentage of the total meal because of the added water.

Once hydrated, the 4 lb. box of Love makes about 16 lbs. of fresh food, and the 10 lb. box makes about 40 lbs. of fresh food.
