Puffy Coat

We’re delighted to present the warm, durable, and oh-so-stylish coats made by Scooter’s Friends of Chicago. All Scooter’s Friends’ beautiful coats are created with meticulous care and attention to detail.

The Puffy Coat, voted one of the top products for 2009 by Fido Friendly magazine and recently featured in "Pets Matter" by the American Animal Hospital Association, is as warm as it is stylish - it's lined with Polartec® WindBloc® fleece, four times more wind resistant than traditional fleece. Offering warmth without weight, the Puffy Coat is breathable and waterproof. It’s also contoured to the body for a better fit and offers chest protection and adjustable Velcro™ fastening.

The outer layer is a 400 denier, coated pack cloth nylon that has been quilted for style and warmth. Coat includes a reinforced harness hole and a D-ring on sizes 10, 12, 14. The D-ring is secured with a fashionable genuine leather tab. (The tab is also included on larger sizes, just for style!)  And, as if all the above wasn’t enough, the Puffy Coat is machine washable and very durable! Made with pride in the USA.

Available in eight beautiful colors: Red, Grey, Camel, Pink Peony, Cobalt Blue, Raspberry, Chocolate Brown, Black and Black Glam. (Black Glam fabric is shiny and features a metallic silver and gold fashion emblem on the collar.)  All colors are available in sizes 10 through 30 except Black Glam, available in sizes 10 through 24 only. 

Sizing:

Scooter’s Friends offers a great deal of flexibility in coat sizing. Their coats generally fit full-chested dogs (Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs, pit bulls, etc.) very well. Enough Velcro™ is added to provide adjustability for smaller dogs. The fabrics are soft and breathable with some stretch, some providing even greater sizing latitude. The Tweed coats are a great fit for very small-framed dogs (Maltese, Brussels Griffons). The All Weather Trench fits dachshunds very well. The Puffy Coat fits a very wide range of breeds.

(Note:  Our experience with sizing on the Puffy Coat is that if it's a close call between two sizes, it's best to go with the larger size.)
